Being Christ Centred, Community Focussed is our objective. Working out what this means in practice is on-going and will change to reflect the issues of the community, but it does involve being an active participant in the community. Many community based groups use our buildings for meetings to support the interests and objectives of that particular group. All we request in turn is that the facilities be treated with respect, the spaces used are returned to the original condition and a donation made to defer operational expenses. Community Focussed also implies a degree of active involvement in and with the community of Tawa. The church should be a vital part of that community. Playing a vital part means not only making a positive contribution to the community but also confirms and affirms the existance of the church. The church's continued existance depends on its surrounding the community and vibracy of the community is assited by the church. We are all God's community and when we work and live together as a strong and caring community, all things are possible.

Homework Help
Weekly support of a food bank in Porirua
Two indoor bowls clubs - one on Tuesday and the other on Thursday evenings
Mens Club - meeting once a month on Thursday mornings
Longview - a residential facility run by Presbyterian Support Central
